Not our first frost of the season, but the first proper one this morning…
I’m a complete sucker for the sparkly frost effect. The poor dog was probably in danger of freezing to death while he waited for me to take snaps and stand around gazing at the twinkling leaves.
I just love this time of year.
❤
Beautiful frosty photographs. I especially love the first one – its composition and colours are lovely. If I had the skill I would turn it into a tapestry!
Oh gosh, thank you. Funny, but I was only thinking as I was walking the dog, how hard I find it to translate some scenes into stitch – still never managed stones at all despite really loving the texture – but I think it might explain some of the use of glittery metallics!
Thinking the same thing about the first photo. Recently saw an exhibition of 17th century enbroidery and this reminded me very much of some of the designs used back then.
Was that the Fuller at the Ashmolean? I loved that, perhaps some of that style has crept in as inspiration, or perhaps I enjoyed the exhibition because I feel connected to that style…
Yes, it was the Fuller collection – glad you were able to make it
frost in sunlight – wonderful. It was cold this morning so now it feels properly autumnal and I am loving it!
Yes, same here, although as I look at the sky this morning, it’s bucketing down – definitely no frost today.
I have missed the rain so far but it’s all grey sky here. Oh well..
Very pretty… just cold and rainy here!
Ahhh yes, your rain has reached us now.
I love this time of year too – all those delicious colours and the first frosts too – beautiful. We’re off to Scotland tomorrow where there should be lots of both …
Oh I’m jealous – have a marvellous time and take lots of photographs.
Lovely frosty fringing – great shots.
Easy to see where my love affair with twinkly things comes from…
Lovely photos, Anny! I love it too, and I hope we get plenty more days like this.
Probably will, but it’s rain forecast here this week.
Poor dog, but those pictures are worth it.
Oh he’s very forgiving…
