In meditation, we’re encouraged to still the mind, to quiet the chatter of myriad thoughts and achieve clarity.
Today I find my mind is struggling to find clarity – instead it resembles thousands of shards of coloured glass.
I love stained glass windows – occasionally for the designs, but more often for the impact on my senses of the kaleidoscope of colour.
Window in Bath Abbey
-)O(-
Beautiful window – I think all houses should have at least one stained glass window – sadly the new plastic windows with the patterned glass are not a patch on the old ones.
It probably helps to have a very large space to work with. I like to imagine the medieval artists laying out their designs – it must have been close to magic.
Is that a St George I spy, on the top row, is that in Bath Abbey 🙂
The big photo at the bottom is Bath Abbey – I loved the windows there, although there were some musical angels that you should see – I’ll post them up for you later…
Look forward to that 🙂
How lovely stained glass windows. Thank You showing them.
My pleasure.
